GoPro HD Hero2 Wi-Fi and connections

The GoPro HD Hero2 has a host of different connections and ports that allow you to customise how you use your GoPro HD Hero2. The GoPro HD Hero2 features the GoPro expansion slot on the rear of the camera that allows you to connect GoPro BacPacs such as the LCD and Battery BacPacs as well as use the GoPro 3D Housing to create 3D videos. New and exclusive to the GoPro HD Hero2 is the Wi-Fi BacPac and Remote Control which are due early in 2012. The GoPro HD Hero2 Wi-Fi BacPac will allow you to control the GoPro HD Hero2 with the GoPro Remote Control or via a smartphone/tablet/computer. With the GoPro HD Hero2 Wi-Fi BacPac attached you will also be able to live stream video over Wi-Fi.

Also new to the GoPro HD Hero2 is a 3.5mm microphone input which allows you to use an external microphone. There is also a mini HDMI port on the side of the GoPro HD Hero2 that allows you to display your footage on an external screen. On top of this is the standard USB port for connecting to a computer and a composite video output for connecting to a TV.
