The Drift HD720 carrys over Drift’s signature features such as the integrated LCD screen, wireless remote control and 300-degree rotating lens from the more expensive full HD model. The camera records in high definition video shot in 720p @ 30 and 25 fps. The HD720 also has the capability to shoot 5MP still photos, and includes Drift’s proprietary mounting system which utilises the universal ¼ inch thread allowing usage with all existing Drift mounts. The best thing about the Drift HD720, is that it contains all these great features and is extremely affordable.
The Camera features the same form factor and design weighing in at only 145g. The rotating lens allows you to mount the camera on any angled surfaces to get the shot that you are aiming for. The HD720 is water resistant which is fine for rain, if you wish to use it in a water based environment Drift does have a waterproof case available which can go down to 30 meters. The camera also features a low light mode to get the best results in doors and in dusk settings.

HD 720P, good starter camera
I bought the 720P because of the affordable price they had it for at the 2012 MotoGP Phillip Island. I have used it extensively over that time ( motorcycle road riding) and the picture quality is good enough for me. the thing that lets this camera down is the wind noise (but have read reviews and this problem comes up for all these types of cameras). This camera doesn't have the option of an external mic like the HD1080p so you are stuck to finding another way of removing the wind noise. the remote is a good accessory and the mountings you get in the package are very useful and versatile. If you can't afford the HD1080p then I recommend this camera as you won't find anything for the price equally as good as the drift 720P P.S the battery life for this camera is surprisingly good, I was told is lasts 2 hours of record time but I found it to last at least 3 (running it right down that is)
