1. How much recording time do I get on the 2GB card?

Video yield rates for the included 2GB card are:
Full HD (1920 x 1080, 30fps, 127 degree field of view): approximately 30 minutes.
Tall HD (1280 x 960, 30fps, 170 degree field of view): approximately 30 minutes.
Contour HD (1280 x 720, 30fps, 170 degree field of view): approximately 1 hour.

2. What is the largest card size I can use?

The biggest SD card you can use is a 32GB card (8 hours in Full HD mode).

3. How long will the batteries last?

The built in rechargeable battery will give approximately 3 hours of recording time. Recharging the battery via USB will also take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

4. Does the Contour Roam shoot in widescreen?

Yes, all resolution settings except Tall HD are 16:9 widescreen ratios.

5. Is a wide angle or telphoto lens available?

The Contour Roam has a wide angle 170 degree field of view in 960 and 720 modes and 127 degree wide angle field of view in 1080p Modes. There are no add on lenses available.

6. Is the Contour Roam waterproof?

Yes, the Contour Roam is waterproof to 1 meter. This is perfect for rain, snow and ligh submersion's. It is recommended that you use a waterproof case for applications such as surfing or diving.

7. What format does the Contour Roam record in?

Videos are saved as a .mov using H.264 compression. Mac users will find this format easy to use, however PC (Windows) users may have to install Quicktime to watch clips and may need to convert the video files to edit them (depending on the software they are using).

8. Does the Contour Roam record audio?

Yes, the Contour Roam records audio. The microphone gain can be adjusted using the Storyteller software which can be downloaded from the Contour site.

9. Can I watch my videos back from the Contour Roam?

No, you will need a computer to watch your clips. The only connection on the Contour Roam is a USB port; if you want to watch your videos on your TV you will either have to connect your computer to your TV or burn a DVD.

10. What comes in the kit?

Package contents include: 1 x Contour Roam, 1 x Rotating Adhesive-Backed Helmet Mounts, 1x Profile Mount and 1 x USB Cable to connect to your computer and to charge

11. What are the mounts like?

The Contour Roam comes with two types of mounts. The Helmet Mount has an adhesive backed base which you stick to you helmet - once it is attached it can't be removed easily, so you need another mount for every helmet you want to put the camera on. The new Rotating helmet mount that comes with the Contour Roam is much easier to rotate the camera to the correct angle. They also come with the profile mount which is a super thin mount that prevents the camera sticking out from the side of the helmet excessively. However this mount has no adjustments and when applied to a helmet the angle cannot be changed.

12. How much is postage and how long does it take?

Express delivery is included free of charge. Orders are normally sent the same day they are received (before 12pm WST) and take 1-2 days within Australia (depending on your location, allow extra for regional and remote areas). We do not post Internationally.

13. What are the different modes that this camera has?

FULL HD - 1080p 1920 x 1080 pixels at 30/25 FPS
TALL HD - 960p 1280 x 960 pixels at 30/25 FPS
Action HD - 720p 1280 x 720 pixels at 30/25 FPS
5MP STILL 2592 x 1944 pixels at 1,2,3, 5, 10, 30, 60 second intervals

The modes can be changed on your computer in the "Story Teller" application.
