GoPro HD Surf Hero helmet camera - HD Video

The GoPro HD Surf Her0 has 5 different video modes to choose from:

1. 1920x1080 at 30fps(frames per second) with a 127º field of view. Record 8 min/GB (due to the narrow field of view this modes is more for situations where the camera is very stable . e.g. inside a race car).
2. 1280x960 at 30fps with a 170º field of view. Record 10 min/GB (very tall, good for getting getting the inside of the barrel however hard to mix with normal 16:9 widescreen video in editing).
3. 1280x720 at 30fps with a 170º field of view. Record 16 min/GB (most versatile mode with great video quality and manageable video size).
4. 1280x720 at 60fps with a 170º field of view. Record 8 min/GB (same as above, only with 60fps which is good for slow motion videos).
5. 848x480 at 60fps with a 170º field of view. Record 16 min/GB (a more space efficient way to get 60fps).

Videos are saved as an .mp4 (using H.264 compression) which is an easy format to watch and edit on Windows and Mac computers. Audio is recorded using a hidden onboard microphone, which is somewhat muffled by the waterproof case.

You can also shoot 5MP still photos with the GoPro HD Surf Hero with the following modes: single shot, timer, 3 shot burst and photo every X seconds.
