1. How much recording time do I get on the 2GB card?

Video yield rates for the included 2GB card are:
HD Setting (1280 x 720, 30fps, 135 degree field of view): approximately 1 hour.
SD Setting (848x720, 60fps, 110 degree field of view): approximately 2 hrs

2. What is the largest card size I can use?

The biggest SD card you can use is a 16GB card (8 hours in HD mode).

3. How long will the batteries last?

The rechargeable battery will give approximately 3 hours of recording time. Recharging the battery via USB will also take approximately 3 hours.

4. Does the ContourHD shoot in widescreen?

Yes, both resolution settings are 16:9 widescreen ratios.

5. Is a wide angle or telphoto lens available?

The ContourHD has a wide angle 135 degree field of view in HD mode and 110 degree wide angle field of view in SD mode. There is considerable warping (fish-eye) of the image on the edges of the footage and there is a loss of detail on the sides as well. There isn't any alternative lens options available for the ContourHD.

6. Is the ContourHD waterproof?

No, the ContourHD is not waterproof. It is weatherproof/splashproof but it will not withstand any submersion. There is a waterproof housing available if you want to submerge the camera.

7. What format does the ContourHD record in?

Videos are saved as a .mov using H.264 compression. Mac users will find this format easy to use, however PC (Windows) users may have to install Quicktime to watch clips and may need to convert the video files to edit them (depending on the software they are using).

8. Does the ContourHD record audio?

Yes, the ContourHD records audio. The audio has been considerably improved over the previous model camera.

9. Can I watch my videos back from the ContourHD?

No, you will need a computer to watch your clips. The only connection on the ContourHD is a USB port; if you want to watch your videos on your TV you will either have to connect your computer to your TV or burn a DVD.

10. What comes in the kit?

Package contents include: 1 x ContourHD, 1 x Rechargeable Battery, 1 x Goggle Strap Mount, 1 x Adhesive-Backed Helmet Mount, 1 x USB Cable and 1 x 2GB MicroSD Card.

11. What are the mounts like?

The ContourHD comes with two mounts. The Helmet Mount has an adhesive backed base which you stick to you helmet - once it is attached it can't be removed easily, so you need another mount for every helmet you want to put the camera on. The Goggle Mount fits well but does tend to shake a bit over rough terrain.

12. How much is postage and how long does it take?

Express delivery is included free of charge. Orders are normally sent the same day they are received (before 12pm WST) and take 1-2 days within Australia (depending on your location, allow extra for regional and remote areas). International orders depend on location.
