VHoldR ContourHD Helmet Cam - High definition video

The VHoldR ContourHD helmet cam has two shooting modes (HD and SD) which can be selected using the switch inside the back cover. Most people use the HD mode, which shoots in 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second. In this mode the field of view is 135 degrees, which best suits most action sports. File size is 30 minutes per GB.

In SD mode, the ContourHD records in 848 x 480 at 60 frames per second, which is good for creating smooth slow motion shots, however the field of view is reduced to 110 degrees which is only good in situations where the camera is very stable (ie inside a race car). File size is 60 minuts per GB.

Videos are recorded using the H.264/AAC compression and are saved with a .mov file extension. Audio is captured using a hidden onboard microphone. Windows users will need to download Quicktime or VLC (both free) to watch videos on their computer.
