A 2GB card will record approximately 1 hour of video.

2. What is the largest card size I can use?

The biggest SD card you can use is a 16GB card (8 hours).

3. How long will the batteries last?

A good set of rechargeable or disposable batteries will last approximately 90 minutes. Lithium batteries will last approximately 4.5 hours.

4. Does the Drift Innovation X170 shoot in widescreen?

Yes, you can select between 4:3 and 16:9 (widescreen).

5. Is a wide angle or telphoto lens available?

The Drift Innovation X170 has a super wide angle 170 degree field of view. This makes the video very smooth to watch, however there is considerable warping (fish-eye) of the image and it makes things look further away than they actually are. There isn't any alternative lens options available for the X170.

6. Is the Drift Innovation X170 waterproof?

Yes, the Drift Innovation X170 is waterproof and is rated to 0.5 metres.

7. What format does the Drift Innovation X170 record in?

Videos are saved as either .mp4 or .avi (user selectable). Windows and Mac users should find these formats easy to use..

8. Does the Drift Innovation X170 record audio?

Yes, the Drift Innovation X170 records audio and you can adjust the sensitivity of the microphone.

Yes, you can watch your clips back on the screen of the Drift Innovation X170 or you can connect the X170 directly to your TV and play them on your TV. Alternatively, you can connect the X170 to your computer and download the clips to watch/edit on your computer.

11. What are the mounts like?

The helmet mount is very stable, especially when used in conjunction with 3M Dual Lock (instead of normal velcro). The base of the camera has a 1/4" female receptacle so that the camera can be used with mounts such as the XXL Roll Bar Mount and the Power Suction Cup Mount.

12. How much is postage and how long does it take?

Express delivery is included free of charge. Orders are normally sent the same day they are received (before 12pm WST) and take 1-2 days within Australia (depending on your location, allow extra for regional and remote areas). International orders depend on location.
